HVS Update 06-2025

Midwest-Gascoyne Region - Shire of Carnamah - Notice of Removal - Section of Caron Road from the RAV Networks.

Please be advised that Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) has reviewed the Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) Network on Caron Road, due to the Shire of Carnamah identifying the culvert located approximately 1.5km east of the Carnamah - Perenjori Road intersection in extremely poor condition.

At the request of the Shire, Main Roads will be removing the following RAV Network access from the short section of Caron Road, between SLK 1.27 and 2.79, to restrict RAVs from crossing the culvert.

  • Tandem Drive Networks N2 to N6
  • Tandem Drive AMMS Networks N2.1 to N6.1
  • Tri Drive Network TD1
  • Tri Drive AMMS Network TD1.1
  • PBS Tandem Drive Networks PBS1B.1 to PBS2B.1

Alternative access for these RAV Networks remains available to driveways either side of the culvert via other approved roads connecting to Caron Road.

Main Roads will implement the above changes on Wednesday 9 April 2025, which will be reflected in the relevant Road Tables and RAV Mapping Tool on our website from that date.

For further information, please contact the Heavy Vehicle Services Helpdesk on 138 486 or email hvs@mainroads.wa.gov.au.
