What's happening
As part of the State Government’s development of the Oakajee Strategic Industrial Area, we’re constructing a new access road and intersection on North West Coastal Highway, between Geraldton and Northampton.
A construction contract was awarded to Highway Construction Pty Ltd in July 2024.
Work commenced in September 2024 and includes construction of two, 2 km truck acceleration lanes and the approximately 1km of new road into the Oakajee Strategic Industrial Area.
Traffic management including speed reductions and lane closures remain in place to facilitate construction.
