Discover the Wilman Wadandi Highway
Safer, easier and more reliable trips through the South West are almost here.

The opening of the Wilman Wadandi Highway (the Bunbury Outer Ring Road project) anticipated for 16 December 2024 will mark a transformative moment for the South West Region of Western Australia.
This major infrastructure project enables road users to avoid 13 sets of traffic lights and a rail level crossing between Bussell Highway and Forrest Highway, and significantly improves freight efficiency by redirecting trucks from local roads. The highway will enhance safety for all road users and reduce local congestion, providing more reliable journey times. In addition, you can expect travel time savings between the north and south of Bunbury, of around 11 to 18 minutes depending on your destination and traffic conditions.
To prepare for the opening of the highway, we are hosting several community drop-in sessions where you can explore the new ‘virtual’ road network. The drop-in session times and locations are listed below:
